%JR%The "chesstimer" was origina(ly intended for championship chess, i.e to
%JL%conform to National and International rules regarding moves and timing -
%JR%the possibility to set an initial number of moves in an initial period
%JR%and thereafter to set other moves and times -%H2% the same for both players
of course.

%JR%At the last Workshop I was asked if it could be used for "handicapping"
%JL%as required in club matches. Not being a chess player myself I had not
considered this requirement.

%JR%The new versionof "chesstimer" (2.0) permits this to be done, i.e. %H2%after%H2%
%JR%the first `period' ( and this can be set as short as 1 move in 1 minute
%JL%if necessary ) the `moves' and `times' can be set independantly for each
player.

The new version also has a slightly revised presentation
