Installing an EtherExpress(TM) PRO/10 ISA adapter in an EISA slot
==================================================================

You can install the EtherExpress(TM) PRO/10 adapter in an EISA slot.

Installation requires three steps:

1. Put the adapter in the computer.

Follow the procedure in the Installation Guide for installing the
adapter into a slot in the computer.

2. Set the computer's EISA configuration.

A Restart the computer. If you have a flash-equipped adapter, exit
      the flash program.

B Run the most recent version of the EISA Configuration Utility (ECU)
      for this computer.

C From the Main menu, select the command for configuring the
      computer.

D Choose the menu item that allows you to add an adapter to your
computer, then select the slot where the adapter is located.

E Select the command that allows the ECU to read the adapter's EISA
configuration files from the Intel diskette.

F When prompted, insert the Intel Configuration and Drivers disk,
then select the appropriate file from the list of available adapter
configuration files. For the EtherExpress PRO/10+ adapter, choose
!int1031.cfg. For the EtherExpress PRO/10 adapter, choose
      !int1030.cfg.

G Write down the settings you want to assign to the EtherExpress
PRO/10 adapter and exit the program. (You must choose settings that
aren't used by any other device in the computer.)

3. Configure the adapter with SoftSet2.

A Insert the Intel configuration disk into a drive, switch to that
      drive, and type SOFTSET2.

B From the Main menu, select Change Adapter Configuration.

C Select the configuration settings you chose in the EISA
      configuration program.

D Continue with the setup procedure by testing the adapter and
installing the driver as shown in the Installation Guide.
