  ***** On Virtual Device Driver (TEACATAP.VXD) for Windows95 *****

With the advancement of high-speed CD-ROM drive, full performance is getting
difficult to obtain using the conventional IDE transfer ( PIO Mode 0 ) because
the bus becomes a bottleneck.
This driver realizes high-speed transfer and low CPU utilization by changing
the IDE transfer using the Triton Chipset mother board that cannot change
the CD-ROM IDE data transfer.
The driver does not operate if the mother board is not Triton Chip when
the BIOS is in the process of changing the IDE transfer.

Operating environment
Intel Triton Chipset I,II

Effects
(a) Realization of high speed transfer.
(b) Low CPU utilization
Ex. When the driver is not used : 50%
When the driver is used : 25%

Installation
To use Virtual Device Driver (TEACATAP.VXD), you may copy the driver into
a directory "[Windows]\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS" .
( [Windows] is the directory name in which Windows95 is installed.)

From the time you boot up next, the driver will be in action.

When you want to return where you were, you may delete the driver out of
"[Windows]\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS" directory.
