  NetWare Shell Drivers Version 3.26

These drivers enable the use of DOS 5.0 (as well as the older
versions of DOS) on a NOVELL network workstation or non-dedicated
servers.

This disk contains the following files--

   EMSNETX.EXE
   IPX.OBJ
   NETX.COM
   XMSNETX.EXE
   README.TXT

In order to obtain a printout of this README.TXT file, make sure your
printer is switched on, is on line, insert this drivers disk in
Drive A, and at the C:\> prompt, type the following--

   PRINT A:README.TXT

and press <Enter>.

INSTALLATION

1. Start up your system.

2. Insert this diskette in Drive A.

3. At the C:\> prompt, type in

       DEL NETx.COM (where x=3, 4, or 5)

     and press <Enter>.

4. Type in

       COPY A:*.EXE

and press <Enter>. This copies the EMSNETX.EXE and XMSNETX.EXE
    to the root directory.

5. Type in

       COPY A:IPX.OBJ

and press <Enter>. This copies IPX.OBJ to the root directory.

6. Type in

       COPY A:NETX.COM

and press <Enter>. This copies NETX.COM to the root directory.

7. Delete NET3.COM, NET4.COM, or NET5.COM from the AUTOEXEC.BAT
file or any other batch files and replace them with NETX.COM.

8. Reboot the workstation or shut down and reboot the server.

NOTES:

   * This disk also contains a new version of the IPX.OBJ file.
This should be used with SHGEN or WSGEN when generating the
IPX.COM network adapter drivers for each workstation. It is
advisable to generate a new shell with the new IPX.OBJ when
using the above drivers with the later versions of DOS.

   * By updating both sides of the workstation drivers at the same
time, i.e., generating the new IPX.COM with the new IPX.OBJ
file and using NETX.COM, you will have "balanced" the upgrade
of the workstation's Netware Shell files.
