Does anyone know where I can get a keyboard for a Tandy 1000tx?
Or make a standard keyboard work in its non-standard port?

There are only three places to get th Tandy 1000Tx keyboard:
Radio Shack can order one for you and you should have it in a
year or so, that way you have time to save the money they will
ask for it.
Garage Sales and Flea Markets
Computer Fairs in the "I don't know what the heck this stuff is"
box under one of the tables.

I have had a few in the past-saw one at a Flea Market last
weekend. Am going back today and will see if the same guy has
it...

Saw 3 Tandy computers at the local flea market this morning. 2
were 1000SX and 1 was 1000TX-none had hard drives.
Prices ranged from $30-$60 for the complete unit.

Compare that to the prices you would get at the Shack-but then
again R.S. keyboard would be new?

Hi Chris,

It been awhile since I been back on this forum to check out
the message board. If you are still looking for a keyboard for
you Tandy 1000tx there's a company by the name of DCS Industries
that carry the keyboard for the Tandy 1000tx. There phone number
is 1-800-537-3539 they are located in Athens OH. The cost of the
keyboard is $89.00 and when you call them as for one of their
catalog, they call them self The Tandy Enhancement Specialists.
Also, I a Tandy 1000tx and a Tandy 4000 I got them both for a
steal here locately.

Anyone seeing this message should request a catalog from DCS
Industries if they are using any of the Tandy 1000 series thru
4000 they have some interesting items in the catalogs for us
tandy users.

Good Luck,

John
