Hi Paul,

Please cancel my request for the above video driver.

Despite numerous dead end leads , I was finally referred to
http://support.tandy.com which did have the drivers and a most
unique method of uncompressing and installing multiple disks. Now
all I have to do is wonder why the pictures in NavImage and LView
_still_ don't display in 256 like DOS Compushow 2000 does.

Any luck with the cpu upgrade?

 Bill

Bill,

I was about to suggest Tandy's web page for the 1024 NI drivers
when I read your
follow up message. Actually, that's just where I got my updated
drivers about

I have put the uprocessor upgrade on the back burners for a
while. Now I'm
interested in removing my 14400 baud internal modem and
installing a 28800 bd
external type so as to free up an expansion slot for another
project. Since
the 4825SX/25 seems to have a 8250 Uart, I'm wondering what is
the best speed
I can expect to get from a 28800 external? I've heard a 16550AF
may be needed
for faster modems, and that externals don't have the 16550,
unlike the internals
which can at least emulate a 16550...? -ph

I have a Sierra Winmodem 28,800 voice fax data modem, and on
CompuServe the fastest you can go is 38,400. I have gotten
around 57,000 on one of the internet providers. But be careful
of the winmodems. Most of them will not work in a non-windows
environment, with some dos oriented communications programs such
as TAPCIS or OZCIS, which is very popular here on CompuServe.
