I'm and old tandy user now operating in other platforms but I
have a couple of old printers DMP 2100p and DMP I would like to
hook up to my win95 machine. Any suggestions on which drivers to
use?

dmp-2100P can be used with IBM Graphics driver
BUT do not connect it to PC without the proper cable!!!!! Need
to use the 26-227 cable available at Radio Shack Stores. There
is 5V on a pin that can trash the printer port in computer!!!!

What is the other DMP printer????????

graphics and got no joy from attempts to print seems to be a
nother problem, maybe the cable?

Frank,

The DMP-200 is a specific TRS-DOS based printer. It
will skip a line each time you attempt to print with a PC
machine. There are some tricks that we used to use to make them
print text but they are so old now that it is not worth the
effort. The printer is advertised as a 9 pin printer but in
actually it only printed with TRSDOS with 7 pins. This is one of
the reasons it does not work effectively with PC machines.

thanks bob
i got it to print after a fashion by playing with the dip
switches. the problem with windows however appears is that the
several programs don't address the printer the same way. one
prints well and another throws random chracters and others
overprints lines. only planned to use it for long draft anyway.
looks like i'll toss it and use the 2100 for drafts.
thanks again frank
