Thank you for purchasing enVivo!CMS Classic Web Content Management System!
We are sure that you'll find enVivo!CMS Classic not only useful but very
cost effective in helping you to manage your web site.

This text file outlines the basic instructions on how to set up enVivo!CMS
Classic on your web server so that you may start using enVivo!CMS Classic
straight away.

First, ensure that you meet the following minimum system requirements:

Web Server

	- Web host or server capable of running Active Server Pages.  Valid
	  Operating Systems are:
		+ Windows 2000 Professional/Server/Advanced Server
		+ Windows Server 2003
		+ Windows XP Professional
	- Internet Information Services 5.0 or 6.0
	- Microsoft MDAC 2.6 SP1 or later
	
	OR

	- A Unix/Linux Server Running Chili!ASP 3.6.2 or later.

Administrator Client

	- Internet Explorer 5.x and above.

To view website

	- Any web browser including Netscape, Opera etc.

Database.  Any one of the following:

	- Microsoft Jet 4.0 SP3 if using an MS Access database on a Windows Server.
		(MS Access databases cannot be used on Unix/Linux servers)
	- MySQL 3.23 and above 
	- MS SQL Server 7.0 and above

Please Note: While enVivo!CMS Classic uses a Microsoft Access Database by
default, you do not need to install Microsoft Access or Microsoft Office on
your web server.  Two Microsoft Access 2000 databases are supplied.  They are:

	- db.mdb - Contains the enVivo 101 Sample Site.
	- db_blank.mdb - A blank database.

WYSIWYG HTML EDITOR

	- To create web page templates you can use any WYSIWYG HTML editor, i.e. 
MS FrontPage, Adobe Go Live, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Hot Dog etc.

Installing enVivo!CMS Classic onto your web server.
-----------------------------------------------------

(These instructions assume your web site is being installed at
http://www.yoursite.com - the URL for your actual site may vary)

Installing enVivo!CMS Classic is simple and easy. Extract the files in this ZIP
file into your web server directory (usually c:\inetpub\wwwroot) or any sub
directory below.  Or, if you are installing enVivo!CMS Classic remotely, FTP
the files in this ZIP file to your web server ensuring that you maintain the
file structure contained within the ZIP file.

If you are running MySQL or SQL Server as your database, run the appropriate
SQL setup script which are located in the /envivocms/dbscripts directory of
the distribution.  For SQL Server, use Query Manager whilst for MySQL, use
DBTools or MySQL-Front.  These SQL scripts will setup a blank database on
your server.

In your web browser, run the enVivo!CMS Classic setup script at:

http://www.yoursite.com/envivocms/utils/setup.asp

Enter the preference values for your site (see the Design Guide for more 
information) and click "Setup".  After a few moments, enVivo!CMS Classic will
be set up on your server.

It's that simple!

After running the setup script, you should run the enVivo!CMS Classic
Diagnostics at http://www.yoursite.com/envivocms/utils/diag.asp to ensure that
enVivo!CMS Classic has been set up properly.

You may then log into the enVivo!CMS Classic Web Content Manager by accessing
http://www.yoursite.com/envivocms with your web browser.  The default username is
ADMIN and the default password is ADMIN.

Or, you may view the generated web site by pointing your browser to:

	http://www.yoursite.com/
