This Windows 3.1 driver upgrade will work only if you have previously
installed an ATI Windows 3.1 driver.  If you have not done so, run the
installation disk #1 that came with your video card and install the
Windows 3.1 driver, before running the driver upgrade install program.

To install this release, unpack the distribution files onto a diskette, or
to a separate directory. Run the LOADER.EXE utility and specify your
Windows directory.

Use the Microsoft Windows SETUP utility, and select the "ATI mach8
Driver".  This will complete the driver installation. To restore your
previous display driver, run SETUP, and reselect the old driver.

The release readme file is available from the Windows program group called
MACH. Double click the README Icon and the release notes will be displayed.
