This is version 1.1.0 of AMS Standard Edition,
released on September 15, 1999.

Purpose
-------
AMS is a software-only mirroring solution.
It takes a drive's contents and mirrors them
on another, or a subset (subdirectory) of a drive
and mirrors it either on a folder of the same drive
or on another drive folder.
This is a total background operation.

Requirements
------------
AMS is a 32-bit Windows application. It runs on any
Windows 95/98/NT4.0 system. A 2nd hard-disk is not
required but is highly recommended.

Purchase Information
--------------------
Free to try.
$49 for the downloadable version
$99 for the shipped version (box, manual, etc)

Installation
------------
Run the ams110.exe
The installation program just copies the necessary
files into a directory of your choice and adds AMS
to the list of the "Add/Remove Programs" applet.
So, it is no threat to your system's setup.

Status
------
Shareware. Fully functional for 30 days.

Version History
---------------

1.1.0	September 15, 1999
	Minor improvements and fixes

	Improvements
	- Users are now able to select the Source and Target paths
	  through a dialog box.
If the TargetPath does not exist it is automatically created.
	- The IgnoreDirs setting is now obsolete.
It has been replaced with an ASCII file that also accepts
single files for exclusion. Pattern-matching is supported.
	- Users can select folders and files for exclusion, through a dialog box.
	- The error log is automatically cleared at the beginning of the SOURCE phase
and recreated during the MIRROR phase.
This is to prevent user's confusion, since the files reported at any time,
are indeed the ones that AMS could not handle at that particular time.
	- When AMS is set to be automatically loaded, it can wait for a
user-defined period before it actually starts mirroring.
This is to make the Windows startup procedure a little bit
smoother and faster (the default setting is 10 seconds).

	Fixes
	- In previous versions, if the AutoHide option was set,
the program's main screen appeared for an instant before hiding itself.
This is not happening any more.

1.0.1	July 15, 1999
Minor bug fixes, and documentation update

	Bug fixes
	- AMS did not display an error
when the user selected a Report, without first starting it
	- AMS did not display an error
when the TargetPath denoted a remote drive
	- LzyMinutes setting did not work
	  properly on empty folders
	- The program did not remove
	  a deleted directory structure immediately

	Documentation update
	- The main screen and the sample report were updated
	- The IgnoreDirs setting is now documented
	- The registration form was removed. Users can now use a
registration form located in our site
	- Other minor corrections

	Program's logic changes
	- The target's free space is now calculated before the mirroring cycle starts.
Version 100 calculated it in a file by file basis.
The benefit is a performance increment.
The disadvantage is that it is no longer possible to use a
Target with a free capacity that is less than the total data size
that are about to be mirrored.
