DIFFERENCES IN THE DEMO VERSION
The Demo version is SHAREWARE, and is freely distributable.
The Demo version is fully functional except for the following:
You cannot export design files
You cannot reset the current design
Any design changes you make will not be saved
The Report Explorer is not included

To reduce the size of the Demo installation, the following items were not included. If you are having trouble running the program, you may need to downloaded these files seperately from the Download page of the TrainTrack web site :
Html Help Update
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.5
Standard Distributable Components (DCOM) 95 or 98

Because design changes are not saved in the Demo version, you should not reset TrainTrack after you import a design file.

RELEASE NOTES
This release is for Version 3.00 of TrainTrack.

Major improvements since the last release include an integrated development environment (this includes a form designer and scripting capabilities).

NOTE: In this release, the Track database has had the NoRegistered field removed from the Event table.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
This version of TrainTrack has been tested on Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0.

Users with Windows 2000 should select Cutom Install, and install the Windows 2000 Scripting Support package.

Although the database supplied with TrainTrack is for Microsoft Access, there is no need to have Access installed.

It is recommended that at least a Pentium 300 processor with 32 Mb of RAM is used for running TrainTrack

A palette of at least 256 screen colours is required to be able to use the Power Query within the Report Explorer.

INSTALLATION NOTES
Before installing TrainTrack, ensure that all running applications are shut down. This includes any anti-virus software.

If you have previously installed the Demo version, make sure that it is un-installed before you install the full version.

To install the TrainTrack Demo, double click on the file TTrack300Demo.exe.

During installation, some operating systems (particularly Windows 98) may report that you need to install a service pack to upgrade the Windows Installer Service. If you receive this error, cancel the installation and complete the following:
Download the files instmsia.exe and instmsiw.exe from the Download page of the TrainTrack web site.
Install one of these files depending on you operating system.
If you attempt to install the wrong file, you will receive an error message, and you should then try the other file.
Reboot your PC.
Install TrainTrack.

If you wish to use TrainTrack over a network, move the databases to a suitable network folder, and edit your TrainTrack data settings so the databases can be located.

Users installing over a previous version of TrainTrack should carefully backup all their data, and then uninstall the previous version. The new version should then be installed. After installation, the new database should be removed, and the old database should be restored to its previous location.

After installation, consult the TrainTrack.chm help file for further information. In particular, you may wish to read the topic "Getting Started" for basic instructions.

Demo users, please ensure that you have read "Differences In the Demo Version".
