I. Installation
---------------

Installing this software is very easy. All you need to do is unzip the file that you
downloaded (logbk1.zip) in the directory that you want the program to be in.
IMPORTANT: You need VBRUN300.DLL for this program to work!! You can obtain it from the
internet at various sites. On AOL, go to software search and type in VBRUN. When the
file is done executing, 3 files will be in the directory.

             GRID.VBX Visual Basic Custom Control
             LOGBOOK.EXE The Logbook program
             README.TXT This file
             ORDER.TXT Order Form

Just run LOGBOOK.EXE and your set!

You are free to distribute the program to anyone that you want, but I ask that you do not
modify the contents, modify the program code, and include all files in the zip file. I would
appriciate money for this program, but it is not nessacary to use the program. If you feel
like you would like to contribute something for this software, please send a check made out
to Jack Sterba to the address below. Also, please fill out the order form within the zip file.
This is so I can contact you about updates to LOGBOOK. I am asking $10, but send what ever you
feel is appropriate for my efforts. Thanks!

II. Usage
---------

To use the program, just run LOGBOOK.EXE in the directory that you installed it into.
Once the program is running, you need to create a logbook. To do this, click FILE and
NEW. A dialog box will appear. Select the destination of the file and enter your callsign
in the box. Click CREATE. The program will create your logbook in the location you specified.
You are now ready to start adding entries. Before you exit the program, be sure to save
your logbook by clicking FILE and SAVE. If you don't do this, you will loose all new
entries.

You can edit entries by clicking ENTRIES and EDIT ENTRIES. Use the scroll bar on the right
to select the entry that you want to edit. After you are done editing, click UPDATE. Again,
be sure to save or the changes won't be written to disk.
