"Chemistry Tutorials" contains 60 tutorials with about 1600 interactions and about 500 questions
in the reviews. It assumes zero initial chemical knowledge for the student and aims to make
learning chemistry as simple and intuitive as possible. It is a comprehensive "start to
finish" course which builds up gently to more difficult topics. The simplicity of the course
combined with its depth mean that it has been purchased by students from Eire to Singapore and
from North Carolina to East London including special needs school students, university and
further education institutions as well as the main stream school students for whom it was
first intended.
Some of the more advanced topics include atomic and electronic structure, ionic, covalent
and metallic bonding, balancing equations, reaction rates, application of Le Chatelier
to the Haber and Contact Processes, qualitative analysis, and organic chemistry.
Numeric material includes calculation of heats of reaction from bond energies,
calculation of relative atomic mass from % isotope composition, mole concept,
calculation of empirical and molecular formulas from masses and % composition,
electrolysis including calculation of moles of electrons from current and time,
using moles and balanced equations to calculate masses/gas volumes from known
masses/gas volumes/electric charge, calculation of molarity and use of simple titration results

Due to the demands of the authoring system an installation programme is required. Simply
double click on the executable file wfchem_1.exe and follow the instructions as appropriate.
